1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MathPad ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

MathPad provides AI-powered math education tools including equation editing, handwriting recognition, OCR for images and documents, AI tutoring, problem generation, and integrations with Google Workspace and Discord.

3. Google Workspace Add-ons

When using our Google Workspace add-ons (Docs, Sheets, Slides):

• We comply with Google Workspace Marketplace policies and only request minimum necessary permissions
• Add-ons only access documents you explicitly work with while using them
• You can revoke access anytime through your Google account settings
• Ensure you have rights to documents you process and comply with your organization's policies

4. User Accounts

You can create an account using email/password, third-party login, or use limited features as a guest. You're responsible for your account security and all activities under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You may: Use MathPad for educational, academic, and professional math work.

You may not: Scrape or automate access without permission, circumvent credit limits, share account credentials, create harmful content, violate intellectual property, or use the service illegally.

6. Content Rights

You own your content. By using MathPad, you grant us permission to process your content to provide the service. We do not use your data to train or improve AI models.

7. Privacy

Your data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your personal information.

8. Billing

MathPad offers Free, Basic, and Pro tiers with varying credit limits. Educational discounts are available. Billing is automatic and credits reset monthly. When you cancel, your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period.

9. Service Limitations

We strive for high availability but don't guarantee uptime. Rate limits apply based on your tier. We may modify features with reasonable notice and may have temporary interruptions for maintenance.

10. Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We may terminate access for terms violations. Upon termination, your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy, and outstanding payments remain due.

11. Disclaimers

MathPad is an educational tool. Although MathPad uses state-of-the-art computer algebra systems to validate mathematical calculations and prevent errors, AI-generated content beyond pure mathematics may contain errors. Always verify critical information independently. We provide no warranties for accuracy. Liability is limited to the amount you paid. Use at your own risk.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms from time to time. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
